EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
Fort Buchanan has implemented measures for the health protection of our community. Expect these measures to impact normal day-to-day operations. Case numbers rise drastically in the areas surrounding our communities and across Puerto Rico. While our Army community in Fort Buchanan remains in a safe posture thanks to high vaccination rates and the personal protective measures taken by our Soldiers, Civilians and Families.
The following force health protections measures will be implemented immediately:
- All personnel will need to wear masks regardless of vaccination status and maintain social distancing protocols in all areas of the installation (indoor and outdoor).
- MWR Cardholders access is cancelled until further notice.
- Customer restriction for all facilities is 40% capacity; expect long lines and waiting times.
